Ziss Aqua ZBS-150 Moving Bed Filter – Weighted Biological Filter for Aquariums up to 150L

The Ziss Aqua ZBS-150 is a compact, air-driven biological filter engineered to deliver crystal-clear, healthy water in aquariums up to 150 liters. Designed as the upright version of the ZB-150F, the ZBS-150 features a weighted base that keeps the filter securely in place at the bottom of the tank.

This filter uses moving bed filtration technology, where the included ZM-1 bio media are constantly kept in motion through air-driven flow. This maximizes the surface area for beneficial bacteria, enabling the efficient breakdown of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate—essential for maintaining a healthy aquatic environment.

High levels of aeration also promote degassing of harmful substances, which helps keep Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) levels low. This not only improves water quality but also significantly delays algae growth, making tank maintenance easier and less frequent.

The included ZM-1 media is incredibly durable and can be used for up to 15 years, making the ZBS-150 a sustainable and cost-effective filtration solution.
